Halloween Costume Party to Support the Fort Atkinson State Preserve

Join us on Saturday, October 30th from 7:00pm to 11:00pm for a Halloween Costume Party at the Inwood Ballroom.

Enjoy live music by “TROUBLESHOOTER”.

Come dress in your best costume for a chance to win our costume contest. The judging will take place at 10:00pm. There will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd, prizes for both individual and  group costumes. You must be present to win, but why would you leave early anyways?!

Free will donations will go to the Friends of Fort Atkinson who need your help to raise $500,000 in matching funds to save the historic Fort Atkinson State Preserve. Iowa’s 180-year-old Fort Atkinson desperately needs structural repairs to its four limestone buildings. The National Park Service awarded Fort Atkinson State Preserve in Winneshiek County a prestigious $497,500 Save America’s Treasures grant to help pay for these repairs. However, grant funds cannot be disturbed unless an equal dollar amount is raised for the work. Your contributions to Friends of Fort Atkinson will directly fund repairs and ensure the fort stands for generations to come!

Fort Atkinson is recognized National Treasure. Originally built by the U.S. government from 1840-1842, military personnel occupied Fort Atkinson until 1849.

The Fort is now managed by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources as a state preserve.
